When many people think about weight loss the belief is that eating a lot of fruits and vegetables is the solution. While this is probably true some people think bananas have the opposite effect. The belief behind this is that since bananas are high in sugar they are also fattening. Bananas have a lot of benefits associated with health including a lot of fiber and carbs.
They also contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that can benefit us such as Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, and the most known one, Potassium. While bananas are high in fiber they are low in calories. Having a lot of fiber is important because it has been traced to reducing things such as heart disease and cancer. Since it is low in calories for weight loss it is probably safe to eat them and it would not be wise to stop eating them because they provide so many benefits.
